SINCE 1983

Preserving the Sacred Heart of Tibetan Culture

Founded in 1983, Bay Area Friends of Tibet has been a steadfast voice for Tibetan cultural preservation and community support. We began with a simple yet profound mission: to ensure that the ancient wisdom, spiritual traditions, and artistic heritage of Tibet are not lost to the passage of time or political upheaval.

Today, we continue this legacy through educational outreach, public lectures, and direct assistance to Tibetan families. Our work is rooted in a deep respect for the community we serve, ensuring that every effort we make is a step toward a future where Tibetan culture thrives as a vibrant and integral part of our global heritage.

OUR CORE PILLARS

We are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Tibetan culture through education and community support.

STUDYING

We conduct rigorous academic research into Tibetan history, language, and philosophy to ensure accurate representation and deep understanding.

PROMOTING

We organize public lectures, cultural workshops, and educational programs to share the beauty and significance of Tibetan traditions with the Bay Area.

PRESERVING

We provide direct support to the Tibetan community, assisting in the preservation of sacred sites and traditional arts through dedicated advocacy.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT

We invite you to become a part of our collective effort to preserve Tibetan culture and support our community. Your involvement helps us educate the public and provide essential resources to those in need.
